Cherie’s Treatment for Retinitis Pigmentosa

testimonial

Cherie Myers first came to the clinic to receive treatments to help her with her vision issues in June, 2019. She had been diagnosed about ten years prior to receiving acupuncture treatments for her eye condition.

Cherie has Retinitis Pigmentosa, or RP, a group of inherited progressive degenerative eye diseases that affects the retina, the light sensitive cells at the back of the eye. This eye disease afflicts over 100,000 people in the US. Treatment options are limited for any form of RP, of which there are over 100 types, each with genetic variations .

Cherie, a retired school teacher from Louisiana, comes to the clinic for microacupuncture treatments twice a year. She comes with a group of friends and they have great fun together here in NW Arkansas.

This treatment is not a cure but a treatment that can help restore some vision by repairing the damage that causes the vision loss.
